This community meeting will feature a discussion of major components of a treatment initiative to reduce addiction and death by overdose. The community meeting will feature three panels, each with an expert speaker and time allotted for public comment and discussion.
- Panel 1: Robert Schwartz, MD, statewide buprenorphine prescriber expansion, and related efforts: A view from Maryland
- Panel 2: Sarah Larney, PhD, methadone and buprenorphine assisted treatment during incarceration: Lessons from Australia
- Panel 3: Gail D'Onofrio, MD, the mechanics and potential of emergency department-initiated buprenorphine treatment
This meeting is open to the public, and all are welcome. Please sign up in advance for a 2-3 minute slot on any one of these panels if you wish to participate!
